Enough.

There are tiles that appear to demand attention. Usually they are small pieces or awkward cuts hidden behind toilets, under radiators or in corners where the trowel barely fits.

Nothing is wrong with them. The joint is correct, the alignment is sound and nobody looking at the finished room would ever notice anything unusual.
Yet there is often one tile that continues to draw my eye. Perhaps I could make it slightly better. Perhaps one more touch would improve it. Sometimes it would. Sometimes it would not.

Experience has taught me that there comes a point when additional effort stops improving the work and merely creates mistakes.
Good work requires corrections, but it also requires restraint. Sometimes the difficult thing is to do nothing.
