Corners Belong to the Tiles

The corner should feel like part of the geometry, not an interruption.
details_text:

An outside corner on a Victorian-style splashback presents a particular challenge.

The classic solution — using plastic or metal trim — clashes badly with the style of the tiles. Trim is a relatively recent invention; it did not exist in either Victorian or Edwardian Britain. Tiles butted together at a corner look rough and untidy.
