Glossary of tiling terms

MURIATIC ACID — a strong acid, also known as hydrochloric acid. It is a water-based solution of hydrogen chloride. This acid is commonly used as a strong cleaning agent to remove unwanted cement and cement-based products from the surface of tiles or mosaics.

Its powerful properties make it effective in dissolving and removing stubborn residues, helping to restore the cleanliness and appearance of tiled surfaces.

However, caution must be exercised when handling hydrochloric acid due to its corrosive nature, and proper safety measures should be followed to ensure the protection of both the user and the surrounding environment.
