SYNTHETIC RESINS — man-made resins derived by combining various synthetic compounds to create a wide range of resins with different properties and characteristics. Synthetic resins have been in existence for several decades, offering versatile solutions to various technical challenges. These resins can be broadly classified into two groups: thermoplastic resins (such as acrylic and vinyl resins) and thermosetting resins (including epoxy and phenolic resins).

Thermoplastic resins possess the ability to soften and solidify repeatedly when subjected to heat, allowing for reshaping and remoulding. On the other hand, thermosetting resins undergo a permanent chemical change upon curing, forming a rigid and durable structure that is resistant to heat and chemicals.

Due to their exceptional properties and adaptability, synthetic resins have found applications in numerous industries, including manufacturing, construction, automotive, and electronics, revolutionizing materials and enabling innovative solutions to complex technical requirements.
